Professional Background
Denny Kirk is an attorney serving individuals and families throughout Highland County and the surrounding region. He brings a broad professional background to his legal practice, informed by experience in social work, law enforcement, and the courtroom. His work focuses on providing clear guidance, practical solutions, and steady representation across a range of legal matters, including juvenile court proceedings, probate and estate planning and administration, family and domestic relations matters including child custody, and criminal cases involving both adults and juveniles.
Denny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Political Science with concentrations in Public Policy and Public Administration. He has maintained his social worker license throughout his professional career. Denny also completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy and later earned his Juris Doctor. After graduating from law school and passing the Ohio Bar Examination, Denny opened Kirk Law Office, LLC, where he has maintained a broad legal practice serving Highland County residents for more than a decade.
Commitment to Highland County
Denny Kirk is deeply committed to serving Highland County both professionally and through active community involvement. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Southern State Community College, the Highland County Law Resource Library Board, the City of Hillsboro Community Improvement Corporation, the City of Hillsboro Civil Service Commission, and the Habitat for Humanity of Highland County Board. He is also a member of the Highland County Corrections Planning Board.
Denny serves as the current President of the Highland County Bar Association and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. He is also involved with the Highland County Historical Society, where he previously served as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
In addition to formal board service, Denny has previously served with organizations such as High Co., Inc. and Highland Housing and has long supported local schools and student programs, including DECA, band, and drama activities. He and his family are actively involved in local service efforts and special event support throughout the community.
